FAQ

We ask that you would allow 4-6 weeks for us to create your custom order. Each piece is handmade and many are custom designed, so there are many steps that go into the process.

We will try to send you a “proof” of the design for you to approve in the first 2 weeks, we ask that you respond promptly so that we can begin work on the item. If you do not respond to this “proof” within one week, we will take that as an approval of the design and will begin work on the project.

 

For our wood products (which is pretty much everything) each piece will have a slight variations in the pattern of the wood grain and coloration of the wood. Every piece of wood is distinctive and has a beauty all its own; so stain, paint, glue, and protective finishes may react with wood in a unique way. This ensures you have a truly one-of-a-kind piece, but also means no two pieces will be identical.

 

I (Katelyn) have always felt like God laid a burden on my heart for children that need a home. He calls us in His word to take care of the widows and orphans, and adoption is a way I feel I can live this out. I told my husband when we were first dating that I wanted to put all my resources (financial, time, ect.) into adopting, and he jumped right on board with that dream (read the ABOUT US section if you want a little more detail). God chose to welcome us, as adopted sons, into His family because of what Jesus did on the cross. I can never do what Jesus did…but if I can love even one child with the tiniest sliver of that love Jesus has for us, then that’s what I want to do! So thank you for partnering with us in that, every dollar, prayer, and encouragement helps to reaffirm that call on our lives.

This may change as time goes on, but I honestly love the thrill of trying something new and experimenting. There are so many incredible makers out there (hello Pinterest and Instagram) and they make me so inspired to try new things and figure out what I’m good at. At first I made what I could within the limitations of my tools, but over the last year I’ve been able to grow the shop and also expand my interests. I have absolutely fallen in love with “scrolling” and old reclaimed wood so you’ll probably see a lot more of that on here in the future.

I do try to make all my designs unique…if you were to watch me work you’d see that sometimes the longest part of the process is coming up with the designs and actually making it happen. I will apologize if any of my product look like others out there. I really don’t want to copy anyone’s original work, but there are so many amazing things out there that I know I can’t have seen them all and there may be similarities between two products. I just want to say thanks to all the other makers before me who have helped to create such an awesome environment of which to be a part. My hope is that as y’all inspire me, maybe one day I can do the same for you.

All payment processing is handled by Shopify (they use bank-level encryption so your payment is safe). Our store will accept debit/credit cards, Venmo, PayPal.
